Coaching

Coaching is about skill mastery. Effective training produces knowledge and some skill. Effective coaching produces competence and mastery.

Coaching is not a solution for everyone. Coaching is a powerful fit for:

  • Engaged learners that are driven to make significant changes
  • Leaders who seek to achieve better results by building stronger teams and making better decisions
  • Leaders who can envision their next evolutionary stage, but have not yet attained that potential… in spite of their best efforts

Coaching is an evolutionary relationship focusing you on three levels:

  • Transactional growth: doing what you do, but better, faster and more often enhancing your leadership performance goals through incremental improvement of existing skills and capabilities.
  • Conceptual growth: reshaping your leadership thinking and behavior to become less defensive, more open, and increasingly self-aware – the heart of professional growth. Leveraging questions that uncover self-fulfilling, and self-defeating routines, and become more adept at influencing the system by your behavior.
  • Transformational growth: shifting your context or point of view about yourself. We all have beliefs about ourselves that are self-limiting and we all have blind spots about who we are and how we impact others.

Insights4Results Coaching synthesizes principles, insights and practices from business, philosophy, psychology, and personal & professional growth disciplines. It benefits those who are open, committed, and courageously willing to make the necessary changes to grow, and to be successful personally and professionally.

You are a strong candidate for coaching if:

  • You honestly desire to improve your leadership and management abilities
  • You are passionate about producing better results
  • You are craving more effective teams around and below you
  • You are courageous enough to make better decisions
  • You are determined to resolve confusion and indecision
  • You are open to self examination and feedback
  • You are committed to success but want less stress

  • My team is not oriented to the future together
  • My team is too busy defending their positions rather than pulling together
  • We've been organic and now we're much bigger and lack formality and accountability
  • I want my people to be more accountable
  • My people just don't step up to the plate, I have to do everything
  • I'm working as hard as I can but still not getting the results I want
  • We keep fixing the same problems over and over
  • If we only had better (fill in the blank) we'd improve results
  • I'm running ragged with constant change in direction and priority
  • Everything is a priority
  • I'm too busy to figure out what's really important for next year
  • I'm so busy putting out fires, don't have time to get ahead

Executive Coaching is an investment in key people for short-term performance improvement and long-term success of an organization. It is a strategic investment in winning - developing continuous leaders who adapt to change, meet current and future demands, outperform their competition, and groom their successors.

Performance Coaching

We offer Performance Coaching to address the following areas:

  • Declining performance
  • Exposing individuals to their “blind spots”
  • Preventing future or continued disciplinary problems
  • Uncovering “job fit” as a potential cause of declining performance

We work with supervisors, managers and leaders on their performance issues as well as assisting them with how to increase their effectiveness with building and maintaining high performing teams.

Our approach is to establish “buy in” and agreement of the participant to the performance concerns; especially if they have been recommended to receive coaching. We would then develop an action plan addressing the performance concerns with specific actions steps and time-lines. The plan would have built in accountability for making the necessary long term changes versus a “quick fix”.

The outcome of Performance Coaching is the individual owns their responsibility to make the necessary changes and/or improvements to succeed in the organization and sustain their commitment to the organization’s Mission, Vision and Strategic Goals.

Career Coaching

Strengths- What Career Counselors have known for years is the importance of discovering an individual’s natural strengths, interests and values to help identify their career goals. What additional workplace research has shown is the importance of employees using their strengths in connection with their values to achieve greater employee satisfaction, high employee engagement and ultimate retention in their organizations.

The research documented by the Gallup organization and Jack Zenger reinforced that employee engagement is dramatically improved when an organization focuses on employees’ strengths rather than their weakness, unless, of course, the weakness is a fatal flaw for the employee, manager or leader.

We work with supervisors, managers and leaders to become “development minded” --inquiring into the individuals’ identified strengths and how they use those strengths at work during their coaching conversations.
